Staying during a Movenpick Resort & Spa, Jimbaran Bay, Bali

Michelle Weir checks into a Movenpick Resort Spa, Jimbaran Bay, Bali

Getting there

: From a time we landed during Denpasar Airport, collected a luggage and sat in that pell-mell Bali traffic, it was 2 hours until we reached a hotel (otherwise a 15-min expostulate from a airport).

Check-in experience: Check-in was seamless, and we were given a cold towel and lovely iced ginger tea while we sat and went by a check-in process. They do ask for a one million rupiah ($100) per night’s stay as a bond, so after realising it was usually a few hundred dollars and not “millions” we were on a approach to a room.

Room: We had a Classic King Room, and it was beautiful. The bed was outrageous and really comfortable, a lavatory was a full lavatory with a bath, showering with sleet conduct as good as normal, and good lighting.

Price: $384 per night including breakfast.

What’s so good about this place: The breakfast was hands down one of a best smorgasboard breakfasts possibly of us have ever had. The pool area is great, really gentle loungers, and they yield any table/lounger with a menu (food and drink) and a buzzer that alerts staff. The pricing of poolside food and beverages was really reasonable too. Just outward a hotel formidable is a encampment of shops and restaurants, that creates choice dining options super accessible, and a ubiquitous store for when we need after-sun gel.

And a bad: Get to breakfast early, and haven a lounger by a pool before breakfast. It gets busy.

What’s in a neighbourhood: The famous Rock Bar during a Ayana Hotel is usually 10 minutes’ expostulate away, and closer to a hotel are some-more restaurants and a ubiquitous store, as good as all a roadside stalls we would design in Bali.

Toiletries: Toothbrush and razors as good as a normal shampoo, conditioner, etc. Impressed.

Food and drink: Poolside lunches were a best! Fresh vegetarian open rolls with satay dipping sauce, mozzarella balls and a pizza with a bintang, and strawberry daiquiris are what my partner and we common many days. Delicious and reduction than $40 for a both of us.

The bed: Unbelievably comfortable! King-sized and pillows that we could remove yourself in. My partner is 6’5″ and his feet really weren’t unresolved off a end!

A room with a view: we looked out to a pool area, and a gardens below. Seeing a overwhelming morning any morning as we pulled a fate behind became a morning ritual.

Bathroom: A full-sized bathroom, with bath tub, showering with sleet head, and a toilet with a bidet.

Free Wi-Fi: Yes. Was good as could upload cheesy holiday snaps to Facebook and Instagram while we were laying by a pool.

Noise: Just a gloomy sound of people walking down below.

Value for money: Yes. we wish we had stayed for longer. Was good value each cent we paid.

Exercise facilities: We walked past a gym … on a approach to a breakfast buffet. Looked good, though eating and being by a pool was some-more of a priority.

Perfect for: Couples, families
