Spaniard dies while rescuing family from drowning in Bali

A Spanish man, identified as Francisco Miguel Garcia Perez, 53, died on Saturday while on vacation in Nusa Ceningan, a small islet off Bali. Perez died after he was swept divided by a complicated stream when perplexing to rescue his mother and children from drowning. 

Nusa Penida Police arch Comr. we Ketut Suastika told The Jakarta Post on Sunday that a incident happened during around 11 a.m. during Secret Beach, Nusa Ceningan island, Nusa Penida subdistrict, Klungkung regency. 

“The plant and his mother and dual sons were swimming. Suddenly a complicated stream swept his mother and dual sons away. He attempted to rescue them. However, he became tired and was dragged by a current,” Suastika said. 

Perez was speckled by another unfamiliar traveller who was carrying lunch during a beach side restaurant. He was taken to a beach regulating a normal fishing boat, before being brought to a internal encampment health core in Jungutbatu village. A alloy announced that Perez had died when his physique arrived during a health center. 

The victim’s mother and dual sons lived. “The victim’s physique has been sent to Sanglah morgue by boat,” Suastika said. (evi)
