‘Memorial paddle’ honours Sydney toddler who drowned in Bali

Kawa Sweeney, a three-year-old lady who died after being pulled comatose from a pool in Bali, has been celebrated with a commemorative paddle-out during a Sydney beach.

More than 100 of Kawa’s kin and friends met during Newport Beach for a touching rite this morning.

Kawa’s mom and father, Dee Tang and Desmond Sweeney, were among several mourners who paddled into a H2O on surfboards.

Video shows a surfers combining a large, floating round and striking their hands in a peaceful waves.

An array of charming floral wreaths were also laid during a water’s edge.

Kawa was on a family holiday when she was found comatose in a review pool of on Jul 24.

Kawa’s parents, from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, done a heart-breaking preference to switch off her life support 4 days after a accident.

“Thank we to everybody who has upheld us with their thoughts, prayers, adore and donations,” family orator Pearl Tan pronounced during a time.

“We are impressed with your munificence and are beholden for all that we have given us in this formidable time.”
