Being a usually son of a mythological artist is not easy, a fact Mario Blanco, an artist and photographer from Bali, knows all too well.

Mario is a usually son of world-renowned painter Antonio Blanco, who lived many of his life in Bali and was famous for his illusory artistic creations.

As Antonio’s usually son, Mario has carried a weight of expectations from those who wish him to be as glorious as his father. For many of Mario’s career, his father’s repute and success seemed to shroud his possess path.

However, he has managed to find his possess way.

“My father never taught me or wanted me to paint. That is one thing that people never know or understand,” Mario pronounced during a Rondji Restaurant in a Blanco Museum in Ubud, Bali, recently.

“My father always pronounced to me that he was a painter, not a teacher. we should find another teacher,” he added.

Wearing modern-style normal Balinese wardrobe and a Balinese headdress called an udeng, Mario pronounced he had not unequivocally been meddlesome in art when he was young.

Like many other Balinese teenagers, Mario’s seductiveness was automobile racing. Even after graduating from comparison high school, he still seemed uncertain about stepping into a art world.

Meanwhile, his father, Antonio, suggested that he start requesting for university to investigate possibly medicine, economics or law.

It was a tough time for him. He was during a crossroads and did not know that approach to turn.
