Several years after a Chicago integrate purchased a Lake Michigan vacation home roughly turnkey, they incited to dual gifted designers to give it a whole-house modernise that achieves large character while preserving a home’s bones.
￼Designers Jenna Wedemeyer, from Chicago, and Angela Goodall, of Traverse City’s Kitchen Choreography, began a reno during a building by carrying a strange healthy blonde maple sanded and stained a hazed gray—a demeanour a designers echoed with new roof beams. The 1980s-esque preserved hunger paneling used extensively in a home is updated with coats of Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray.
Jenna had a vital room furniture, including a cot and 4 pivot bar chairs, tradition done in Chicago. The cot is upholstered in mohair and a chairs in chenille, both fabrics comparison for their comfort and ability to mount adult to children and pets. The bronze and potion coffee list and steel drum list supplement an racial accent.

￼A new Euro-style Hearthstone Lima woodstove (replacing a strange Victorian-style woodstove that came with a home) is corroborated by a wall of textured Athens Silver Cream tiles by Ann Sacks. The sconces are bronze, done by Ridgely Studio Works, in Canada.
The bar stools are clad in leather, definition they are both durable and comfortable. The match lights are crocheted—the origination of U.K. engineer Naomi Paul. Note how a tone of a cupboard doorway plays off a potion backsplash tiles.
Angela exchanged a peninsula that creatively distant a kitchen from a dining room for an island that functions some-more good for food prep and for connecting with a cook. She also designed—and her Kitchen Choreography group fabricated—the operation hood, with a bronze rope that matches a open shelving.
The kitchen counters are White Macaubas quartzite, a element that resembles marble though binds adult better. Ann Sacks potion backsplash tiles (style Jute; tone Azure) simulate a flowing perspective out a window.
The dining room chairs are upholstered in pleather to accommodate soppy showering suits. The list is done from frosty cedar and a potion tip over antique printer cupboard drawers.
In a guest bedroom, a strange preserved paneling is embellished Benjamin Moore Bali. The building tiles are Ann Sacks, Cote d’Azure.
The master bedroom looks out over Sleeping Bear Bay. The designers asked Artistic Innovations of Traverse City to give a shifting stable doorway a mistake bronze finish for a hold of industrial décor.
￼The ladder leads to a crow’s nest play area in a daughter’s room. The crow’s nest roof is embellished with Benjamin Moore’s Lake Victoria. All of a home’s window coverings were done by Custom Sewing Design, of Traverse City.
Kitchen Choreography designed and assembled a bunks in a son’s room.
￼In a den, a strange preserved hunger paneling got a large cloak of Benjamin Moore’s New Providence Navy. The runner (used in other bedrooms of a home, as well) is pristine nap from Karastan. Jenna had building cushions (not pictured) tradition done so they could be laid out and lonesome with a propitious piece for sleepovers.
