Kiwi dies in Bali after medicine complications – NZ Herald

A Kiwi traveller has died in Bali after complications during surgery.

Christchurch male Dane McColl died on Sunday after a medical procession during Siloam Hospital in Kuta, Bali. He was in his early 30s.

Bali expat pages on Facebook were filled with unfortunate appeals for blood donations on Sunday, in a hours before McColl died.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade reliable to Fairfax it was providing consular assistance to a family.

A Givealittle page has been set adult to lift supports to cover McColl’s medical costs, that are estimated during $27,000, and to move his physique behind to New Zealand.

Friends have posted tributes on Facebook to McColl. One called him a “kind, gentle, and free” chairman who desirous a print to live a winding lifestyle.

Another called McColl “the purest heart I’ve ever known” with a “fabulous clarity of humour”.

“The time we had was cut so brief though we lived it loyal and fully,” a print said. “The universe could usually turn a improved place if people were some-more like you.”

The fundraising page pronounced a jubilee use would be hold in New Zealand in memory of McColl.
