TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Japanese tourists enjoying Bali’s inlet and enlightenment increased 7.65 percent or 17,989 tourists from 235,009 in 2016 to 252,998 in 2017.
“They mostly came directly through Ngurah Rai Airport from their country, and only 651 tourists came by sea ports by holding journey ships,” Bali Statistics Central Agency (BPS) Adi Nugroho said inDenpasar on Sunday (18/2).
He explained that Japan placed fourth among a top traveller contributors after China, Australia and India. It contributed 4.44 percent from a sum of 5.69 million tourists visiting Bali in 2017.
The total visits to Bali rose into 779,802 tourists or 15.62 percent compared to that of 2016 with 4.92 million people.
