Ambiance first: As we proceed a restaurant/bar, a initial thing you’ll notice is “The Goof” on a roof, a witty tiki that stands ensure over a domain below. At a front door, Mr. Bali Hai, a vast timber sculpture, greets guests.
Inside, there are about a hundred Polynesian artifacts on display, including masks, weapons and tools. The vast bar and dining room have dark timber columns, a wood-beam roof and vast windows with good brook and city views.
The Pacific Rim-inspired menu facilities such equipment as Hawaiian tuna poke, duck adobo steam buns, Spam carbonara, pig swell katsu and Chinese garlic noodles, and holdovers such as Huli Huli duck and coconut shrimp.
But for my money, a knowledge isn’t finish though a rum-based cocktail. There are copiousness to select from, though my favorite is a “World Famous Bali Hai Mai Tai,” a manly dash that proudly has “No Juice Added” and mixes aged light and dim rums, Trader Vic’s orgeat syrup, a lurch of Triple Sec and a dash of honeyed and sour.
