The ninth annual we Love Poke tasting eventuality and foe earnings to a Bali Hai Restaurant, giving San Diego’s excellent chefs a possibility to showcase a renouned raw-seafood plate and contest for a pretension of best poke (pronounced poh-kay). What’s poke? The plate is a tender salad of fish prepared a series of ways such as with seaweed, soy salsa or onion. The all-ages tasting facilities 30 chefs and restaurants along with special guest from Hawaii, including Ahi Assassins Fish Co., Aloha Shioyu and Hawaiian Pie Company. Returning champ Island Life Foods will go poke-to-poke with competitors like Hollywood Casino, The Lanai and Hello Betty Fish House. Other island-inspired foods, live song and dancing turn out a dusk during this aloha-lovin’ fest.
