Chinese traveller stopped in Bali airfield with meth in his bag

A Chinese traveller was arrested in Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport on Friday with methamphetamine in his bag.

The tourist, identified in reports by initials, WT, 33, was stopped when going by a cat-scan during a airport.

He’s now being hold in control of a National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Bali.

“The BNN Bali and a Airport Customs ban group done a arrest, securing a purported perpetrator in a general terminal,” BNN Chief Brig. Putu Gede Suastawa pronounced on Sunday, as quoted by Tribun Bali.

WT was arrested on Friday around midnight we he got off a Citilink moody from Ningbo, China to Denpasar, says Suastawa.

“After entering a hearing room, a victim’s effects were analyzed regulating an cat-scan machine.

“Officers suspicion there was a questionable intent in a subject’s backpack. And indeed, it was meth,” Suastawa said.

The meth totalled 0.4 grams, BNN central Adj. Sr. Comr. we Ketut Arta told reporters.

WT, who apparently works as a debate leader, claimed a drugs were purchased from someone in China.

“He certified that a drugs, form methamphetamine, were meant to be consumed by he alone during a vacation in Bali,”  Suastawa said.

BNN did not nonetheless contend what WT will be charged with—the group will continue the review into WT before any authorised record commence.
