CRATE Plant-Based Kitchen Bar, a new vegetarian grill and loll that non-stop in Brickell this month, is where you’ll go blow off some steam, binge on cheeseburgers (hold a cheese, please) and organic fries, hit behind a turmeric tonic and crowd around velvet couches listening to “Despacito”—the original. You see, CRATE (100 SE 9th St; 786-534-2538, cratemiami.com) comes to us from a co-founder of mega Latin lounges Barú and Tu Candela.
Though considering the grill is pound in a core of downtown’s financial district, lunch will be a large understanding during CRATE. Chef Christopher Baugh, who recently helmed a grill in Bali, combined an internationally themed menu that runs a progression from aforementioned burgers and burritos to wings and kale salads. Most all served is organic and/or plant-based and can be systematic gluten-free or vegan. Dishes run between $5–$17, with desserts, done by in-house fritter cook Sarah Baugh, trimming from $2.50–$7.
CRATE offers a full bar with some-more than only booze, too. Load adult on cold-pressed juices, smoothies, organic tonics (the healthy kind), coffee and other drinks during a day. At night, it’s behind to margaritas, Long Island iced teas and anything else we desire: a barkeeper takes requests.
