Bali behind in foster after Agung eruptions

BALI is again winning West Australians’ transport plans, notwithstanding stability low-level volcanic activity from Mt Agung.

The Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics’ general airline activity news for Jan shows that roughly 80,000 holidaymakers trafficked to and from Bali — a 5 per cent boost over a prior January.

Traffic between Hong Kong and Perth also increased, lifting 6 per cent to 21,229 passengers.

Traffic between Perth and Kuala Lumpur slumped 15 per cent to 56,769 passengers and a Johannesburg track had a 9.17 per cent decrease to 13,585.

Overall, general trade yet Perth in Jan eased 3.6 per cent to 420,932 passengers.
